Voice for Trees offers fun, age-appropriate tree education for students, helping them understand how trees grow, why they matter, and how we can care for them in our communities.
Presentations can be designed for elementary, middle school, or high school students and may include classroom learning, campus tree walks, and career exploration in arboriculture and urban forestry.

Why Tree Education Matters
Trees are part of everyday life, but many students never get the chance to slow down and really understand them.
Tree education helps students connect science, nature, community health, climate awareness, and future career opportunities. A single tree on campus can become a living classroom — showing students how roots, leaves, branches, soil, insects, fungi, water, and people are all connected.

Presentation Options
Each presentation can be adjusted based on grade level, class goals, available time, and the school setting.
Classroom Tree Talk
A fun, visual presentation that introduces students to how trees grow, why trees matter, and how people can care for them.
Best for:
Elementary, middle school, science classes, environmental clubs
Possible topics:
Tree growth, leaves, roots, shade, basic tree care, and tree health
Campus Tree Walk
Students step outside and use real trees on campus as a living classroom. They can observe tree structure, leaves, roots, bark, health signs, and basic care needs.
Best for:
Science classes, garden clubs, environmental groups, outdoor learning days
Possible topics:
Tree identification, tree health, soil, pruning concepts, roots, and urban tree care
Careers in Arboriculture
Students learn what an arborist does and how tree care connects to science, climbing, pruning, safety, urban forestry, and community service.
Best for:
High school students, career days, CTE programs, environmental science classes
Possible topics:
ISA Certified Arborist work, tree climbing, pruning, risk assessment, urban forestry, and the Cuyamaca College Arboriculture program

Designed for Different Grade Levels
Elementary School
Simple, visual, and fun. Students learn what trees need to live, how leaves and roots work, and why trees are important for people and animals.
Middle School
A deeper introduction to tree biology, ecosystems, urban trees, tree care mistakes, and how students can observe tree health on campus.
High School
A more career-focused presentation connecting tree biology, pruning, climbing, urban forestry, environmental science, and future education pathways.
School Safety and Visitor Requirements
Voice for Trees respects all school site and district requirements for visitors, volunteers, background checks, TB clearance, Live Scan fingerprinting, and student safety.
All school presentations are coordinated with school staff and designed to follow each school’s policies for supervision, student safety, and campus visits.
